A guide to green activities: the events & expos coming up around Australia in 2016.

There is so much great and groovy green stuff happening all around Australia; here are some of the activities:

The Earth Frequency Festival was recently held in February at Ivory’s Rocks in South-East Queensland and this four day outdoor festival is a multi-faceted green tribal lifestyle, music, arts and market event. Packed with performances, workshops, lectures and more, it is a cultural and multi-generational community affair.

Melbourne’s Sustainable Living Festival was held from the 6-28 February 2016 and was a huge success spread over numerous venues throughout the city.

Earthcore is on from 24-28 November at Pyalong in Victoria and this is one green kickass festival. If natural living and tribal culture are your thing, this is the event for you. Amazing live music, workshops on the environment and ecology. An incredible alternative lifestyle festival teeming with camping, great speakers, freak shows, art installations and so much more.

In Queensland, Ecofest at the Gladstone Tondoon Botanic Gardens on Sunday June 5th is a big day. Demonstrations of wildlife, campfire cooking, green gardening exhibits, recycled art and eco talks are all part of this fun and informative day.

There are so many interactive green activities; events, festivals and expos happening right around Australia!

The CERES Harvest Festival is held on Saturday March 19, from 10am to 3pm, at the Corner of Roberts and Stewart Streets, East Brunswick in Melbourne. Join in this community feast, arts and craft and live performance celebration. Also, in Victoria, the Forests Forever Ecology Camp in East Gippsland is happening from the 25-28 March. Enjoy the diversity of pristine rainforest and learn from botanical experts; vegan soup and rolls available to purchase. The Wolf Pack Autumn Camp kicks off at a secret location in North-East Victoria from the 24th April to 14th May. Twenty days of re-wilding adventure in a beautiful retreat location.

In Sydney, Rootstock Sydney is a sustainable food and wine festival held at Carriageworks in November.

In NSW, the Milkwood Permaculture Design Course is on Saturday the 9th of April at Govinda Valley Re treat at Otford.

In Adelaide, the Climate Adaptation 2016 Conference: Change, Challenge, Opportunity is on from 5-7 July. Join over two hundred and fifty presenters on climate change and hear the latest information.

Perth has the Conscious Living Expo in May and November, held at the Perth Convention Centre. This long running festival combines great entertainment, hundreds of exhibitors and lots of lectures and workshops.
